Cleaning Windows and Mirrors

You can use vinegar and rubbing alcohol.  Take a 32 oz spray bottle and add 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cub of alcohol.  You can use newspaper or Kitchen paper towel and gently scrub.

Cleaning Sinks

You can use baking soda and white vinegar once a month to keep the toilets clean.  Mix one cup of baking soda with 1 cup of white vinegar and pour it in the drain.  Wait for about an hour and then flush with warm water.  You can use this tip to clean showers also.

 Cleaning Toilets

Clean and disinfect your toilet bowl with 1/2 cup chlorine bleach. Pour it into the bowl, and let it stand for ten minutes. Then scrub with the toilet brush and flush.

To remove those toilet bowl rings, you can use either use full strength white vinegar, a commercial mineral deposit remover, or if the deposits are heavy a pumice stone, will do the job quickly.

  • Turn off the water supply to the toilet.Flush the toilet to remove most of the water.
  • Soak  paper towels with full strength white vinegar and position these on the toilet bowl rings
  • Let the towels sit for several hours. The mild acid in the vinegar will work to dissolve the mineral deposits.
  • Scrub the ring with a green scrubbie or a nylon brush
